Happy Thanksgiving!
Yesterday did not go as planned... Enterprise wouldn't let us go to the Ocean. Instead we went to Washington Park and hung out in the Japanese Gardens, Hoyt Arboretum and Oregon Zoo. For pictures go to: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=243800&id=516318234&l=616081c3ac .

11/21/2010
I arrived in Portland yesterday afternoon. Beth and I ended up not doing too much, as I was too tired and cranky from my flights. This morning I found a place to get a good cup of coffee across the park from Beth's apartment... I refuse to go to the Starbucks which is located at the base of her building.
Today we spent all day in Lake Oswego with Beth's family. We went to dinner at the Thirsty Lion which just opened up a week or two ago. They have an excellent green chili chicken sandwich.... and they have 52 beers on draft!!
Tomorrow morning I am calling enterprise and renting a car for Wednesday so we can drive to Cape Meares on the Pacific coast.
Until next time!

Change of Course
I have changed my mind on how I am going about driving to Portland when I move. My original plan was to hit up as many national parks as possible... Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park...etc. But I have decided that although all those places are fun and exciting, it would be very boring by myself. Now my plan is to visit as many far away friends as possible along the way.
